Dry Solvent Soluble Spots
Adhesives, Nail Polish, Tar, Lipstick, Grease, Inks, Crayon, Asphalt, Varnish, Paint, Oil, Rubber Cement
1. Apply Volatile Solvent and blot. 2. Apply Non-Volatile Dry Solvent and blot. 3. Apply Volatile Dry Solvent and blot. 4. Apply Neutral pH Spotter. 5. Rinse with water and speed dry. 6. Repeat as necessary.
Foods and Beverages
Beer, Coffee, Candy, Cocktails, Soft Drinks, Ice Cream, Fruit Juice, Wine,Mustard, Catsup, Grass, Chocolate, Tea, Sugar Based Spills, Tannin Based Spills, Most any other Food and Drink.
1. Apply Neutral pH Spotter and blot. 2. Apply Acetic Acid and blot. 3. Apply mixed solution of Reducer and allow to work for up to 60 seconds. 4. Rinse with water and speed dry. 5. Repeat as necessary. 6. Follow directions for dye stains if color remains.
Protein Spots
Blood, Eggs, Milk, Feces, Vomit, Gravy and Remnants from some Food and Beverage Spots.
1. Apply Enzyme to spot and allow 30 - 90 seconds of contact time. 2. Rinse with water and blot. 3. Apply Ammonia and blot. 4. Rinse with water and speed dry. 5. Repeat as necessary. 6. Follow directions for dye stains if color remains.
Dye Spots
Furniture Dye, Food Color, Remnants from Other Spots, Medicines
1. Apply Neutral pH Spotter and blot. 2. Apply Wet Solvent and blot. 3. Rinse with water and blot. 4. Apply mixed solution of Reducer and allow to work for 1-2 minutes. 5. Rinse with water and speed dry. 6. Repeat as necessary.
Chewing Gum
1. Poke holes in gum surface using tail end of spotting brush. 2. Apply Aerosol Chewing Gum Remover to freeze the gum. 3. While frozen scrap gum off of surface and remove. 4. Repeat until all gum is removed. 5. Flush area with Volatile Dry Solvent and blot. 6. Follow directions for dye stains if color remains.
Candle Wax
1. Follow steps for Chewing Gum removal if wax is on the surface. 2. If wax has worked into carpet, place absorbent kraft paper or brown shopping bag over wax. 3. Using a standard household iron set at about 125°F gently massage the paper. 4. As the paper absorbs the melted wax, remove the old paper and replace it with new paper. 5. Repeat this process until the wax is removed. 6. Apply Volatile Dry Solvent and blot. 7. Follow directions for dye stains if color remains.
Rust Spots
1. Apply Rust Remover, allow 1-2 minutes dwell time and blot. 2. Apply Ammonia and blot. 3. Rinse with water and speed dry. 4. Repeat as necessary.
Urine Spots
Check the pH of the spot as very old urine contamination can become predominantly alkaline and will permanently affect color in some carpets like nylon.
1. Apply Ammonia and blot. 2. Rinse with water and blot. 3. Apply Acetic Acid and blot. 4. Rinse with water and speed dry. 5. Repeat as necessary. 6. Follow directions for dye stains if color remains. 7. Apply odor counteractants (not included) to treat odor if present.
