Nilfisk Advance aquires HydraMaster
PLYMOUTH, MN, March 3, 2008 – Nilfisk-Advance, one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of professional floor cleaning equipment, announced today that is has acquired all the assets of HydraMaster, the Washington-based designer and leading manufacturer of truck mount extractors, rotary floor care systems, cleaning accessories, and carpet and fabric care chemicals. HydraMaster’s New Tank Technology
“Not just another vacuum tank”, says HydraMaster of their new MaxAir Recovery & Separation system, now in early production. The MaxAir system will be used with the company’s CDS, Maxx and Boxxer truckmount models and includes at least eight improvements and innovations that have been engineered to benefit air performance, water separation, ease-of-cleaning and durability. The design of the MaxAir system involved computer models, engineering savvy and many hours of “air tunnel” model evaluation. The result is a uniquely efficient system for separating water and debris from a truckmount air stream while minimizing airflow losses.
 HydraMaster Awarded Truckmount Patent
The U.S. Patent office recently awarded HydraMaster a patent on their unique BUCS ™ Perfect Alignment Coupling System for truckmounts. This patented self-aligning system uses a precision cast aluminum housing to connect the engine to the blower and the result is a coupling with less vibration and significantly longer life. The system is easy-to-service, requires no special skill or tools and is warranted for two (2) years.

This purpose-built machine system is the latest iteration of HydraMaster’s highly successful Boxxer™ line of truckmounts. Powered by a liquid-cooled, 27 HP engine, the new “H2O” has exceptional recovery power while being simple and reliable to operate. HydraMaster ® Sells Distribution Division
HydraMaster has just announced the sale of their distribution company, McDowell Supply to their long time distributor Jon-Don of Roselle, Illinois. Jon-Don plans to take control of the Seattle and Portland store locations in January 2007 with the goal expanding their presence in the west.
McDowell Supply was originally established in 1958 and was purchased and operated by HydraMaster in 1999. Most of the McDowell staff will remain in place and both of the northwest locations will continue to offer the same excellent sales and service to Washington and Oregon cleaners and restorers.
