When to Use

SpotMaster PRO

General purpose, water based spills. SpotMaster PRO works great for dissolving candy, chocolate and most other sugar based spills. Use SpotMaster PRO before treating dye stains with SpotMaster CSR or Knock Out.

SpotMaster GEL

General purpose, oil based spills. SpotMaster GEL is a white, thick, creamy solution that attacks light to medium gum, tar and oil. The thick formula stays on the carpet surface and is easily rinsed with SpotMaster PRO.

SpotMaster CSR

Mixed in screened applicator bottle, apply to coffee (tannin) and other mild dye stains. SpotMaster Coffee and Stain Remover is a reducing agent that neutralizes mild to medium dye stains from coffee, wine, soft drinks etc. Simply flush with water after stain is gone.

SpotMaster

Neutral pH spotter in retail package, perfect for consumer use. SpotMaster creates a new profit center for the professional cleaner and allows the homeowner to safely remove spots and spills without damaging the carpet.

Knock Out

Mixed in applicator bottle, apply to difficult dye stains. Knock Out is a two-part dye stain remover that can be mixed in the OSHA labeled mixing bottle and sprayed onto the carpet. You can accelerate Knock Out with an iron placed on a damp cloth applied to the stain.

Orange Jel

100% dry solvent spotter for the really tough oil based spills. O.J. is a thick clear gel that attacks through gum, tar and grease and yet it doesn't run to the carpet back where dry solvents can damage carpet construction. O.J. needs to be thoroughly rinsed with detergent and spot removal. Hot Water Extraction works best for this process.

Master Spotting Kit

Includes 10 different spotting agents to effectively remove most any spot, spill or stain. The Master Spotting Kit has everything you will need to be a professional spotting technician, including the tools. The spotting guide, laminated to the lid of the Master Spotting Kit will assist you in specific spotting techniques, general precautions and even help you identify the type of carpet fiber. If it doesn't come out with the Master Spotting Kit, get out your razor blade.

 

Master Spotting Kit Guide

Dry Solvent Soluble Spots
Adhesives, Nail Polish, Tar, Lipstick, Grease, Inks, Crayon, Asphalt, Varnish, Paint, Oil, Rubber Cement
1. Apply Volatile Solvent and blot. 2. Apply Non-Volatile Dry Solvent and blot. 3. Apply Volatile Dry Solvent and blot. 4. Apply Neutral pH Spotter. 5. Rinse with water and speed dry. 6. Repeat as necessary.

Foods and Beverages
Beer, Coffee, Candy, Cocktails, Soft Drinks, Ice Cream, Fruit Juice, Wine,Mustard, Catsup, Grass, Chocolate, Tea, Sugar Based Spills, Tannin Based Spills, Most any other Food and Drink.
1. Apply Neutral pH Spotter and blot. 2. Apply Acetic Acid and blot. 3. Apply mixed solution of Reducer and allow to work for up to 60 seconds. 4. Rinse with water and speed dry. 5. Repeat as necessary. 6. Follow directions for dye stains if color remains.

Protein Spots
Blood, Eggs, Milk, Feces, Vomit, Gravy and Remnants from some Food and Beverage Spots.
1. Apply Enzyme to spot and allow 30 - 90 seconds of contact time. 2. Rinse with water and blot. 3. Apply Ammonia and blot. 4. Rinse with water and speed dry. 5. Repeat as necessary. 6. Follow directions for dye stains if color remains.

Dye Spots
Furniture Dye, Food Color, Remnants from Other Spots, Medicines
1. Apply Neutral pH Spotter and blot. 2. Apply Wet Solvent and blot. 3. Rinse with water and blot. 4. Apply mixed solution of Reducer and allow to work for 1-2 minutes. 5. Rinse with water and speed dry. 6. Repeat as necessary.

Chewing Gum
1. Poke holes in gum surface using tail end of spotting brush. 2. Apply Aerosol Chewing Gum Remover to freeze the gum. 3. While frozen scrap gum off of surface and remove. 4. Repeat until all gum is removed. 5. Flush area with Volatile Dry Solvent and blot. 6. Follow directions for dye stains if color remains.

Candle Wax
1. Follow steps for Chewing Gum removal if wax is on the surface. 2. If wax has worked into carpet, place absorbent kraft paper or brown shopping bag over wax. 3. Using a standard household iron set at about 125°F gently massage the paper. 4. As the paper absorbs the melted wax, remove the old paper and replace it with new paper. 5. Repeat this process until the wax is removed. 6. Apply Volatile Dry Solvent and blot. 7. Follow directions for dye stains if color remains.

Rust Spots
1. Apply Rust Remover, allow 1-2 minutes dwell time and blot. 2. Apply Ammonia and blot. 3. Rinse with water and speed dry. 4. Repeat as necessary.

Urine Spots
Check the pH of the spot as very old urine contamination can become predominantly alkaline and will permanently affect color in some carpets like nylon.
1. Apply Ammonia and blot. 2. Rinse with water and blot. 3. Apply Acetic Acid and blot. 4. Rinse with water and speed dry. 5. Repeat as necessary. 6. Follow directions for dye stains if color remains. 7. Apply odor counteractants (not included) to treat odor if present.
